The Historic Preservation Trust of Berks County Presents The Christmas Tea

The Historic Preservation Trust of Berks County (HPTBC) will once again be offering its annual Christmas Tea on the first Wednesday in December. Join us for a traditional tea featuring delightful homemade tea sandwiches and cookies, as well as delicious coffee and tea. This year’s Tea will be held at the historic Lerch Tavern in Wernersville, home of the Heidelberg Heritage Society. The Lerch Tavern is a museum and non-circulating library with emphasis on local history and culture. An extensive collection of accessions received from local families and businesses is on display in several rooms and organized as collections representing Family Life, Community, Occupations, South Mountain Resorts, and Florence Schlott, one of the founders of the Society. The Tavern will be festively decorated for the holiday season and guests will enjoy an afternoon abounding with Christmas spirit.

Timed tickets for the Christmas Tea are required. There are three available times for seating. Please contact the Trust or phone at 610-385-4762 (alternative phone 610-823-7534) for more information or to purchase your ticket. The Lerch Tavern is located at 182 West Penn Avenue, Wernersville, PA 19565. This event is sponsored and run by the HPTBC. All proceeds from this event benefit the Trust’s educational and preservation programs and projects.
